travel north america united states hawaii island of kauai kilohana plantation
In 2019, we played tourist and took a Princess land excursion to Kilohana Plantation which featurs a restaurant, gift shop, and train ride around the grounds.
The excursion was a tame experience by most any standards, but the plantation was clean and well run.
The train ride was easy going with sights of the various island crops highlighted with a stop to feed the animals with the provided bread.
There were many wild-looking pua'a (pigs), goats, mules, long horn cattle, and plenty of chickens and roosters.
I had a great macadamea chocolate chip cookie from the sweet shop for $3.75.
I considered the experience a mildly entertaining but well-organized tourist attraction.
I was more interested in the potential the place seemed to have for its advertised luau.
